Shock announcement as Euro Big Game looks to fold due to Coronavirus restrictions.
A statement has been posted on the official Euro Big Game Facebook page announcing that the planned 2021 game will not go ahead at this time. Covid restrictions impacting the sport of paintball all across Europe has taken another long standing game out of the calendar. This time it may be for good as they file for insolvency proceedings. Unless a buyer can be found to rescue the company it looks like an end of an era.
The year 2020 is finally over. The Corona pandemic has demanded many sacrifices from all of us – both privately and professionally – and will continue to do so for a while. The event bans and restrictions have caused hardship for almost all businesses in the leisure industry. The EuroBigGame is unfortunately no exception. Against this background, it is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that at the turn of the year, the EuroBigGame was forced to file for insolvency proceedings. The next few weeks will show what will happen next. We have stopped selling tickets and have to assume that the EBG 2020 was our last event. Talks about a possible continuation of the EuroBigGames under new management are already underway and we have high hopes for this. Please refrain from enquiries for the time being, as we cannot make any firm statements about the whole situation at the moment. We will keep you informed about further developments.
