INTRO

Loosely based on the popular Halo franchise and the web series Red Vs Blue, A tongue in cheek take one the age old battle of  Reds Vs Blues.

The opening scene from the web series sums up the ethos of the PBM paintball game:

Simmons: Seriously though, why are we out here? Far as I can tell, it’s just a box canyon in the middle of nowhere, with no way in or out.

Grif: Mhm.

Simmons: And the only reason that we set up a red base here, is because they have a blue base over there. And the only reason they have a blue base over there is because we have a red base here.

Grif: Yeah, that’s because we’re fighting each other.

Simmons: No no, but I mean, even if we were to pull out today, and they were to come take our base, they would have two bases in the middle of a box canyon. Whoop de fucking do!

Grif: What’s up with that anyway? I mean, I signed on to fight some aliens. Next thing I know Master Chief blows up the whole Covenant armada, and I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere, fighting a bunch of blue guys.

You will pledge allegiance to the Red or Blue faction. You will fight for control of the area, command haven’t given you a reason why, you just follow orders. If you are Red, you fight Blues, if you are Blue you fight Reds. That’s all you need to know soldier.

The Game

The game will be led by 2 generals for each side.

For the Reds: TBA

For the Blues: TBA

THE RULES

GAME BASICS:

Flag stations:

The five flag station locations will be given to the generals before the game. Classic capture / hold areas, points will be scored for the teams flag flying on the hour. Flag positions before and after will not count towards points.

Fuel Stations:

There will be 3 fuel stations in the game zone, the locations of these will not be released to generals, teams will have to locate them. Fuel stations will have large fuel tanks where you can fill your fuel carrying vessels. These vessels look and act very similar to balloons. You will have a limited amount of vessels available to your team. They are re-useable if not damaged. The vessels will need to be emptied into a Fuel processor to score points.

Fuel Processor:

The fuel processor is located in the back of a large truck that roams the game zones.

This truck will stop every 15 mins for 3 minutes only, once stopped you can load your fuel into a red or blue tank to score points. When the truck starts moving again you can no longer load fuel. You will be given a 10 second warning before it starts moving away.

The truck cannot be used as a tank. You cannot fire from the truck, you cannot stop the truck, and you must stay at least 3 meters away from the truck whilst it is in motion. The truck must not be shot at. If you shoot the truck, it WILL return fire!

Bonus missions:

There will be a few bonus missions given to generals during the day for bonus points.

There may be red / blue fuel in the game zone you can take for bonus points (your colour only)

Spawn points:

There will be a red entry location and a blue entry location to the game zone. This is also your spawn point. If you are shot – return to your spawn point.

Eliminated players must have a barrel sock on their marker or raised above their head. Indicate that you are out by keeping a hand on your head until you are back at your spawn point. If you have your hand down or no barrel sock on, you risk being shot. Wipe off ALL old shots before re-entry to the game. Old shots will be counted as an elimination by staff.

Spawn points will swap half way through the day.

THE RULES:

Max 10.5 BPS – Semi auto only, no ramping please. Mechs – just be sensible eh?

Max 280 FPS – between 281 and 300 FPS you will be asked to leave the field and re-chronograph (forfeit points awarded to opposite team), Over 300 fps you will be asked to leave the game and your wrist band will be confiscated, hardly anyone uses Co2 so we don’t expect peaks in velocity.

Any direct hit that leaves an obvious paint mark on you or any part of your equipment or body counts as an elimination, bounces do not count. Wipers will be stripped and beaten with holly leaves. Barrel tags can be used, however the barrel must be attached to the marker and the barrel must touch the player being eliminated, rubber chickens, knives or potato peelers are not valid means of elimination (exception will be given for full sized halo energy swords) Players can only surrender one player at a time if they think they are close enough to warrant it, the surrender should be accepted but can be declined, get ready on the trigger!

No first strike (sorry)
